Hi, as explained to players via email at present there are no plans to hold any more regular events in Edinburgh - site will stay live for legacy materials and because I have a Moodle installation running on same domain name - hope to see you at a live tourney in England and further afield soon :-)
Backgammon Scotland meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
Providing Edinburgh and Scotlands players a regular opportunity to play in a friendly (but competitive) environment making sure that both new players and those more experienced will enjoy themselves AND become better at this beautiful game.
With Christmas getting in the way of backgammon, this Sunday will be the last Backgammon Scotland before Christmas.
Main Events
11pt KO with Consolation*
Entry for Main Events is £10 with 100% of entry fees being paid out.
Optional Side Pools.
*in order to complete events in good time first round matches can be 7 or 9 points and in extreme circumstances clocks imposed
The FreeRoll
Competition Entry is FREE for players choosing not to play in the Main event.
Match length is shorter and Winner receives a Prize (usually a bottle of wine)

Registration between 1pm & 1.30pm with play starting very soon after.

The 'Scottish & Newcastle' team will include Martin Barkwill (Captain), Alastair Woods, Stewart Wilson, Ian Hesketh and Mick Butterfield.
The BFCE Festival took place Friday 14th to Sunday 16th September at the Coventry Hilton.
Ian Hesketh is the Midland Open Champion 2012
The Scottish & Newcastle team also won the BFCE Team Challenge.
